HEY GOOD QUESTION, HYPOTHETICAL DA WATCHER!
IN SHORTadult life hard aaauuuughhhh
IN FULLI'm working my way through the final stretch of my physics degree, a ton of life stuff happened involving house emergencies, I'm spending my free time doing art for myself, workin on
patreon stuff, and preparing for conventions. the upshot is that I'm sleeping like 5hrs a night and there's rly still not enough time in the day to do everything I wanna do and it's. yeah.
oh and I should probably mention I started one heck of a project lately?!
I'm pretty sure I've chatted about my interest in science before but for you guys who are uninformed, I'm like. super into astrophysics. I love it. and that branched out to an interest in science communication, so I took a module in and, and, well..
THREE PROJECTS. that's three projects I'm either entirely running, helping with or have provided graphical bits and pieces for... help (*゚ロ゚);;
but yeah, right now I'm actually in a position where I can share the progress on those! I already wrote up a little thing on twitter about it, but I sort of wanted to put out some explanation about what I'm working on to make up for how dead I've been here (oops)
THE PROJECTSthis is actually 100% for my uni work right now! that's exciting! it's research! it's really cool! (no rly please help me I'm dying I just want to sleep aslkjdsfs). it's technically group work but we're taking a sort of three-pronged approach! so there's three things in one:
@
PhySignalsphysignals.blogspot.com/colourful webcomic about some neat lil alien guys. the comics are single-page weekly updates so they don't take up much of your time! and each one comes with a blog post that follows the theme of the comics so if you wanna you can learn a few 'huh that's interesting, didn't know that' sorta facts about space and aliens and planets and stuff (。•̀ᴗ-)9
@
opinionscienceopinion-science.blogspot.com/frequently-updated blog and twitter combo that's actually pretty nice for keeping up with select interesting bits of popular science news and happenings. it does a bit to cover pretty diverse topics like meteor defence, science history, religion, philosophy etc. so again pretty nice for conversation-starters and ideas to make you think!
@
PhysBowlthis one is super fun imo, little simple-language videos where you can watch props dance around on screen a bit and learn about physics concepts. it's not particularly structured around school style learning, but touches on stuff like the heat death of the universe, quantum physics and time dilation that sound sorta too complicated to learn about because of the names, but are interesting to learn a tiny bit about!!
BUT YEAH ANYWAY THATS PROBABLY ENOUGH FROM ME NOW??
please follow these accounts if you can 'cause seriously every little helps for these. let me know what you think bc I really need feedback!! it's my first time doing this stuff so pls be gentle!! ( T -T)
also in totally unrelated news but before I forget? my con schedule this year is TBD but I'm doing EF, YCC, SunnyCon.. and likely doing MCM Birmingham and Manchester again?? I need to post a graphic for all of that but yea I'm super busy and have new stuff to debut including
Vol. 2 of FAL (which I am now staff for and forgot to announce here wowow)
MORE UPDATES SOON I PROMISE
I REFUSE TO DIE ( T -T) ;;;;;
